Announcer.....Don Pardo .....Gary Kroeger (Fade in) Announcer: And now, a word from former cast member Gary Kroeger. Gary Kroeger: Hello, my name is Gary Kroeger. Many of you may not know who I am. I was a cast member on Saturday Night Live from 1982 to 1985. Back then the show was known as “The Eddie and Joe Show”. Anyway, I just want to bring to your attention that Walter Mondale is running for the senate in Minnesota for the late Paul Wellstone. Mondale was best know for the losing the election in 1984 to Ronald Reagan. I was known for playing Walter Mondale, because I wasn’t known for doing anything else. Well, I hammered out an agreement with Lorne, he said if Mondale wins, that he will keep me on as a “featured player” because Darrell Hammond’s already full with Cheney and Rumsfield and so on. I don’t really know what a featured player does because they never had those when I was on the show. Anyhow, let me leave you with this motivation: VOTE MONDALE! You don’t understand, I need work!
