Jean-Philippe Arcand

What can I say about myself? Well, not much. I was born on May 25th, 1986 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada and since then I have been living in a happy, peaceful world.

Since my early childhood, I've always been interested in learning new things. For example, I was able to read at 3. At age 6, I already knew how to speak english (yes, there's still French-speaking people in Montreal).

Later in my short lifespan I entered school. I always considered school as a jail for your thoughts. Teachers tell you what you have to do and you can never contest their decisions. It sucks, it really does. But this year is a happy year because it's my last year in high school. Yippee! Finally I'll have a chance to express my opinions without being reprimanded. I'm no revolutionary, but if I had to give you some advice, it would be something like: don't be afraid to tell what you think. Don't say what people want to hear if you think it's wrong. Think about it.

Today, I'm 15 years old (I'm telling you for those who were too lazy to calculate the years). Unfortunately, it's only last year (again, for those lazy bastards, it's when I was 14) that I discovered something new, something that would change my lifestyle forever. No, not masturbation. I'm talking about late-night television. Jay, Conan and, of course, Saturday Night Live.

The very first SNL episode I saw was hosted by Kate Hudson. For me, it was like losing my virginity, only you don't have to talk to your girlfriend when it's done. At first, I couldn't even recall the performers' names. The next week, after hours of intese research, I was loaded with SNL-ian knowledge from October 11th 1975 to this day. I've learned everything about the show's history, the famous recurring characters and the different cast members (especially my all-time favorite performer, Kevin Nealon).

Since I became an adept of the show, I always dreamed of writing skits, even if it was just for fun. Then I discovered this site, Saturday Night You. I thought this was my chance, so I gave it a shot. And now, I'm a total addict. Unfortunately, I'm going back to school soon. I don't know if I'll be able to write more sketches. But believe me, I'm gonna try very hard to pursue my duty here on SNY.

As you could see while reading this pathetic biography, my life is basically made of 4 things: SNL, Kevin Nealon, writings skits for the site and VERY bad jokes. Anyway I hope you enjoyed this description of my meaningless, awkward life. See y'all!

P.S. By the way, for those who are interested, I'm single :-)
