Ben Douwsma
Ben Douwsma was born on April 2, 1982, around the time of the Falkland Island invasion. He had a perfectly good alibi, though: first, he was just born, and second, he wasn't anywhere near the Falkland Islands. He was in Canada. Throughout his life, Ben eked out a bizarre existance filled with coincidence and a couple of brushes with deja vu. Then in early 1994, something happened that changed the young Douwsma's life forever: he began regularly watching Saturday Night Live. He began watching religiously from that point, although the terrible 1994-95 season was soon to follow. But his SNL addiction had yet to be formed. That is, until the 1997 debut of the Comedy Network in Canada, which brought all the old episodes in 90-minute form. Ben began taping every show run, and built up an impressive collection. He currently splits his time between Miramichi, NB and school in Sackville, NB. |
